Earlier this week, the Department of Justice launched FOIA.gov, a one-stop site for all things FOIA. Nancy Scola of techPresident checked it out:
The new site is one part public primer on how to use the Freedom of Information Act, and another part pan-government clearinghouse for data on the handling of FOIA requests agency-by-agency, and office-by-office. There’s a name and shame component: the site tracks which federal government offices have the longest backlogs.
