The Iowa caucuses are less than five weeks away. So, there will be no getting away from the Democratic presidential candidates, who will be debating from sunup to sundown on Saturday.
First up, the Heartland Presidential Forum in Des Moines, which will feature John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Chris Dodd and Dennis Kucinich and 5,000 BFF (DUMP JAN 04 08). The forum will be moderated by TV One’s Cathy Hughes (disclosure: TV One links to my blog).
The debate will air live on C-SPAN at 2:30 pm ET. You can also view a live webcast.
It will be all the way live when the candidates square off at the sixth Iowa Brown & Black Presidential Forum, “the nation’s only presidential forum in which all candidates have the opportunity to answer essential concerns of African-Americans and Latinos.”
Those concerns include the growing illegal immigration population, an issue which Democrats are trying to avoid. But as CNN’s Gloria Borger told Lou Dobbs, “illegal immigration will likely become a fault line in the Democratic Party as well.”
HDNet TV's live coverage will begin at 7:30 pm ET with a preview show hosted by Dan Rather. The main event will begin at 8:00 pm ET and go two rounds hours.
