Talk about a day late and a dollar short. According to the latest CNN/USA Today/Gallup Poll, President Bush would lose if the election were held this year. Among the poll findings:
- If Bush were running for reelection this year, 55% say they would vote for an unnamed Democratic candidate; 40% for Bush.
By 54%-39%, those polled say they are more likely to vote for a congressional candidate who opposes the president than one who supports him.
